Callie Chilas

Callie Chilas, 92, of Pleasantville, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 22, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Shenandoah, West Virginia she was the loving daughter of Constantine Vranas and Maria Amorgianou. Callie was the oldest of 4 sisters who were inseparable: Irene Yulick, Pauline Marmaras and Rose Gialouris. They are together again. Callie was the owner and operator of Lou's Spaghetti House in Atlantic City, NJ for many years. Following selling the restaurant she worked at Resorts International as a pit clerk until retirement. Callie was well known for her love of cooking and baking. She also enjoyed traveling and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her niece; Carol (Nicholas) Kafkalas, great nephews; Anthony Constantine Panetta, Nicholas G. Kafkalas, Jr., great-great nephew; Dominick, beloved cousin; Vetta Vorou and a host of nieces and nephews. Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend Callie's Life Celebration Service at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 7004 Ridge Ave., Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234 on Wednesday October 7, 2020 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00am until time of service. Final commendation and farewell will be at Atlantic City Cemetery in Pleasantville, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Callie's memory to the Building fund for Holy Trinity Church.
