Carl L. Zemancik Carl Louis Zemancik, 78 of Homerville, OH passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Brethren Care Village in Ashland, OH. He was born July 14, 1933 in Copley, OH to Joseph and Carrie (Fain) Zemancik. He was a retired maintenance worker and machinist at Spencer Manufacturing for 44 years. He was a member of the Homerville United Methodist Church, Spencer K of P Lodge #738, West Salem Masonic Lodge #398, Oriental Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Ashland Council, Royal & Select Masons, Wooster Commandry, Knights Templar, Garfield Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Valley of Canton Scottish Rite Masons, Crawford Council, Knight Masons, Cleveland Forest, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Western Reserve Hi-12 Club, Spencer American Legion Post #608, Past Scout Master of Spencer Troop #458 BSA, former Black River School Board member and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are: Sister, Edna Cutlip of Danville Brother, James of Homerville Sister-in-Law, Miriam Zemancik of Homerville Nieces and nephews, David (Marcella) Zemancik, Gary Zemancik, Karen (Greg) Cook, Robert Cutlip, Susan (Lester) Howman, Robecca (Sverre) Aune, Laurene (Don) Vess, James (Joan) Cutlip. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Leon and Orin. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 28, at 11:00 AM at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, OH (330-948-1122). Pastors Pat Edington and Robert Holmes will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home where Masonic services will be held at 9:00 PM. Burial will be at 12:30 PM, Monday, Aug. 1, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Reserve Masonic Community, 4931 Nettleton Rd., Medina, OH 44256, or the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
