Carolyn S. (Hale) Tutlis, 67, of Baldwinville, died Tuesday July 2, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital Worcester, after a brief illness. Carolyn was born in Gardner April 1, 1946, daughter of the late Earl M. and Mildred V. (Shaffer) Hale, and has lived in Templeton most of her life. She married her beloved husband Charles "Chuck" A. Tutlis October 20, 1973 and together they have shared over 39 years of marriage. Carolyn worked as an LPN for the former Gardner State hospital for 19 years, Rutland hospital for four years, and for Baldwinville Nursing Home for 27 years before retiring. Carolyn loved to travel with her husband and family. As a family, they enjoyed their vacations toYork Beach, ME, Walt Disney World, Niagra Falls, Alaska, and many other destinations. She enjoyed reading and above all spending time with her entire family. Besides her husband Chuck, Carolyn will be sadly missed by her two daughters; Jennifer L. Tutlis of Baldwinville, and Kelly A. Tutlis of Baldwinville, one sister, Janice M. Silva of Dracut, MA, one brother Elvin Hale of N. Grafton, MA, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Carolyn's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner, MA on Sunday July 7, 2013 from 2-5PM. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday July 8, 2013 beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bridge St. Baldwinville. Should friends desire, donations in Carolyn's memory may be made to the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, Look Beyond Time Fund, PO Box 808, Hudson, MA 01749.
