Chuck was the best friend anyone could ever have. We have many memories of him. And he could always vouch for us anytime as Toni well remembers. Never forget the rusty scupper event. Heres to chuck for a life well lived in every way.

One month ago I suddenly had an urge to look up Charlie Rizas, a boy I had known as a friend and with whom I attended Charles H. Taylor elementary school in Dorchester MA in about 1955.
I didn't follow up and the urge again just came over me to Google him. I am sorry to learn of his death.
In the passing of Charles N. Rizas the family has my condolences. Seems like he lived a good life in a warm family. If he is the same person I knew as a boy, it is indeed a serendipitous coincidence that I thought of him on the day he died. In any case if he is the same person, I would be pleased to learn of that. Thank you. I am 69 years old. Incidently, my paternal grandparents came from a village in the mountain above Sparta and my Dad was a friend of (I believe) Charles' uncle, a man named George, but I can no longer recall his last name.

He was one of the good guys. A wonderful friend to us all those many years. Kind helpful and easy to talk to, with a good sense of humor. He was always there when you needed him. A very special person in our lives. The best husband, father and grandfather you could ever ask for. It will be hard to imagine life without him. We will miss him always. May we meet again someday in the presence of God.
