Clarence Albert Neisemier, son of Georgia Bernadine (Carns) Neisemier and Christian Lawrence Neisemier, was born December 23, 1926 in Thayer. He graduated from Thayer High School in 1944. On May 20, 1947, he married Edith Ann Neff at Winterset. Clarence farmed all of his life, living first near Lorimor and then in 1972, moving near Thayer. He retired in 1998 following retirement he moved to Osceola in June of 2001 and later to Diagonal in February of 2004. He was a former member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church, Union County Saddle Club, Union County Fair Board, Farm and Home Administration Board and the Afton Farmers Cooperative. Survivors include his; daughter Cheryl (husband John) Whittington of Diagonal, Ia; son Gary (wife Elaine) Neisemier of Junction, Texas; brother Lester Neisemier of Bellville, Texas; sister-in-law Pauline Neisemier of Murray, Ia.; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren: Jay (wife Darla) and Wyatt Neisemier of Bryan Texas, Katherine Neisemier of College Station, Texas, J.P.(wife Amy) and Alaina Whittington of Diagonal, Chris (husband Don) Rose and Cord Nippert of Villisca, Ia. and Clint (wife Aleha) Hayley, Hope and Harper Whittington of Diagonal, Ia. and many nieces nephews and friends. Clarence was proceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; two brothers Fred (wife Gertrude) and Leo Neisemierand and a grandson Jared Whittington.
