In the late 60's, I was a young copywriter for Smith-Bridgemans Department Store. Part of my daily routine was walking to the Journal Building where Cliff would act as a wonderful mentor to me.....thank you Cliff, Rest In Peace.

Cliff was my first "trainer" when I joined the Flint Journal Display Advertising staff in 1964. He really knew the business and passed along his knowledge to anyone that needed it.
