Daniel Greg Hyp

DANIEL HYP Daniel Graig Hyp, 64, resident of Laurens, husband of Linda Veronee Hyp, died February 3, 2013 at his home. Born in Natrona, PA, July 31, 1948, he was a son of the late John and Mary Beaver Hyp. He was a graduate of Summerville High School, Summerville, SC, and was a retired Technical Sergeant from the US Air Force after 20 years of service. After his retirement, Mr. Hyp was employed for over 18 years with the New Jersey Transit Authority. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood where he also served in the church choir. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home is one daughter, Melanie K. Post of Greenwood; two sons, David Hyp of Spartanburg and Richard Hyp of Greenwood; ten grandchildren, Philip Dotzler, Christina Dotzler, Joshua Dotzler, Ian Post, Emily Post, Aaron Post, Cameron Aiello, Daniel Hyp, Christopher Hyp and David Hyp; two sisters, JoAnne Kennedy and Cathy Craig. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Friday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Hembree and Rev. Derrick Rash officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in the M.J. "Dolly" Copper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Friday.
