Dan and worked every Saturday together for 2 years on the Railroad. It was a two-man crew, he was my foreman and I was the helper. I got to know him well over the years. He would buy me donuts every now and then from a bakery in Hudson. He was a kind man, you catch him sayin "that doesnt make him All bad." I guess he saw the good in everyone. He would rub in a Wisconsin sports teams were doing better than MN. Called us Mud Ducks while wearing his Lambeu Field stormy kromer.
Looks like you "tied up" and went home for the last time. "Having beans" with the lord now. Rest Easy My Friend.

Thoughts and prayers for the family of Dan Struemke. The way of the modern world leaves many relatives not in communication with each other. Sad to say. Probably the last time I saw Danny would have been when he was around 10 years old and we are first cousins. I haven't lived in WI since 1963. The same is true for his siblings.
