Daniel O. Rietsma

RIETSMA - Daniel Rietsma, age 55, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 11, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Marie Rietsma and his father-in-law, Daryl Lilly. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cathy Blood Rietsma, his children, Aaron Meyering, Daniel Rietsma, Patrick Angela Meyering, and Kelly Fiancee Robert Brown Meyering; granddaughters, Mya Brown and Natalie Greenbauer; sisters, Linda Paul Howe, Diane Mike Barron, and Marcia Fiancee Ron Cunningham Crandall; brother in law Steve Joyce Blood; sister in law, Michelle Kalei Andrade; his awesome mother-in-law, Sallie Lilly; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Hospice, Trillium Woods with Pastor Larry French officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home 2067 - 84th SW - Byron Center. Memorial contributions may be made to The United Way.
