Danny S. Benkusky

Danny S. Benkusky, age 55 of Lincoln, died January 18, 2014 in Lincoln. He was born January 31, 1958 in Sidney, NE to William and Wilma (Beeken) Benkusky. Danny worked for 12 years at National Crane Company where, through his strong work ethic, he moved up through the ranks to the position of Associate Engineer. He spent much of his free time working with his hands and especially enjoyed tinkering with cars. Danny was intrigued by trains, and he spent as much time as he could outdoors where he could bask in the joy of fishing and other activities. He had a great sense of humor and shared this gift with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children Daniel (Rachelle) Benkusky of Gretna, Christopher (Amanda) Benkusky of Ceresco, Jessica (Tyler) Beck of Omaha; former wife Joni Benkusky of Ceresco; sister Julie Bright of Tabor, SD; brother-in-law Myron Richie of Springfield, SD; grandchildren Bella, Elijah, Michael, Hailey, Izabel, Izaac, and Elzy Jo. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond Benkusky. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Noon on Saturday, February 1 at Ceresco Community Center, 217 S. 2nd Street. Memorials may be made to the family for a future designation.
