Dora Firempong

WORCESTER-Dora Firempong, 56, of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in her home after an illness. She was born in Kumasi, Ghana, daughter of Beatrice (Afari) Firempong and the late Alfred Firempong. Dora worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Francis Home for several years. She was a member of the Cross of Light Ministry on Cambridge Street. Dora was very active in the Worcester community helping African, Caribbean and other ethnic groups transition to life in the United States. Dora will be dearly missed by her four children; Andy Osei, Ernest Osei, Michael Owusu and Chelsea Owusu and her granddaughter, Cumberland. She also leaves her siblings, Samuel, Janet, Emelia and Eunice Firempong and many nephews and nieces. Funeral Services for Dora will be held on Saturday, June 15 at Callahan Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Services will begin at 8:00 am and conclude with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery.
