Funeral Services for Doris Eppenbach, age 66, of Ewing will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Pastor Wayne Owens, Officiating. Burial will be in the Ewing City Cemetery in Ewing, NE. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Doris passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at O'Neill Care and Rehabilitation Center on O'Neill, NE. Condolences may be directed to the family at www.snidermemorialfh.com Doris Rogene Eppenbach was born on July 19, 1951 to Lloyd and Mary (O'Connar) Leamons, Jr. at Central City, NE. She grew up on a farm in Chapman and Cairo, NE. Doris graduated from Grand Island Senior High School with the Class of 1969 and Kearney State College in May 1972. She taught mathematics in Ewing, where she met Frank Eppenbach and than on February 23, 1974 they was married on a rural Ewing farm. Doris worked at Alco in O'Neill for 28 years. They ranched together until retiring in 2005. She liked to do genealogy, reading books, and quilting. She is survived by her husband and sister, Dona and Rod Hanquist of Grand Island, NE. Preceded in death by her parents. Brother, Dale Leamons.
