Edward Joseph Dowgin Sr.

Edward Joseph Dowgin, Sr., 68, of Yardville passed away Sunday in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Teaneck, he was a longtime area resident. He retired from the Army National Guard after 23 years of service and was employed with the United Association, Local 9 Plumbers & Pipefitters division for 35 years. Edward loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and was on the National Pistol Championship Team in 1969 at Camp Perry, OH. Son of the late Ralph and Florence Dowgin and brother of the late Ralph Dowgin; he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Laura Dowgin; two daughters, Colleen and Kelly Dowgin; one sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Webb Griffith; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Karin Dowgin; and seven grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held 11:30am Thursday at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Relatives and friends may call 7-9pm Wednesday at the Colonial Home.
