Elizabeth F. (Benante) DeVigne, Manchester, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Maple Leaf Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth displayed great courage and strength the past 5 years as she battled Stage IV breast cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Catherine (Rubino) Benante. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Elizabeth's family was paramount in her life. She cherished her Italian heritage, preparing delicious meals for friends and family, especially around the holiday season. A social butterfly, Elizabeth loved social gatherings and making new friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bridge and various card games. Elizabeth will be best remembered for her kind heart and feisty spirit. Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Kristian DeVigne of Manchester, and Lee Anne Lizotte and husband Todd of Hooksett; two grandsons, Brent and Andrew Lizotte; two brothers, Anthony Benante and Charles Benante and wife Melissa; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Edward F. DeVigne, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. ARRANGEMENTS: Elizabeth will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Waterbury Center Cemetery at a Spring Committal.
