Dearest Aunt Dolly ... Thank you for some of the most beautiful memories of my life -- you, along with your eight siblings and spouses, gave me the most beautiful extended family to remember and treasure -- plus you gave me four great cousins to grow up with -- Stan! Linda! Larry! and Joe! You were so full of energy, laughter, and such a determined positive thinker! I loved your perogies and was always fascinated by your handwriting analysis!!! I Love you so So SO Much and Always Will . . . .

Condolences to the family of cousin "Dolly" as I always knew her. Her mother's brother, Tomasz Podpora, was the father of my mother, Bernice "Bee" Podpora Ludwig (1926-2010). I have fond memories of many gatherings at my Aunt Julia's (Dolly's mother's) house on holidays as a child growing up without any grandparents. Aunt Julia was my surrogate grandmother and all her children, Dolly included, were so sweet and kind to my brother and me. Later I have fond memories of family reunions and always looking forward to seeing cousins, especially Dolly. Her sweet nickname was perfect for her personality! I wish I could be there for the memorial service to once again connect with her family and tell them personally what they already know: she was a lovely person who made everyone feel so welcomed. May the memories of her life give you comfort this day and every day.

Aunt Dolly, I so much enjoyed you and Uncle Pete's visits to Sacramento. I also enjoyed spending time with you, Uncle Pete and family during my Mom (Julia Wilson-Swerdan) and my visit to Flint, MI, several years ago to attend the Swerdan/Malenich family reunion. Such fun times!. Being in raised in Sacramento, CA, I missed having uncles, aunts and cousins close by. Therefore, I am so grateful to have gotten to know and spend time with you and Uncle Pete!

Aunt Dolly, I'm so grateful for all the years of your encouragement, kindness, generosity, and of course unconditional love. I will keep close to my heart the memories of you swimming with us at the lake and letting us push you off the pontoon when we were young. Thank you for all of it.
Mike, Michele, and the girls.
