Frank P. Cyrill, Jr., 77, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home. Born March 23, 1934, in Akron, OH, he was the son of the late Frank Paul Cyrill, Sr. and Louise Delisa Cyrill. Frank was very devoted to his family and instilled his strong work ethic in them. He was a member of The Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, a strong supporter of the Spartanburg County Public Library, loved visiting the Westside Fitness Club with his friends, and also loved to fish. He was the former owner of Carmet Company. Survivors include his wife, Earlene Guthrie Cyrill; two sons, Frank P. Cyrill III and his wife Janice of Columbus, NC and John Cyrill of Spartanburg; a daughter, Andrea Cyrill Oliver and her husband Steve of Olive Branch, MS; five granddaughters, Allison Meier and her husband Justin of Boiling Springs, Jenna Cyrill of Columbus, NC, Brittany Montgomery and her husband Brenton of Memphis, TN, Alexa Oliver of Nashville, TN, and Nicolle Cyrill of Jasper, IN; three grandsons, Jonathan Cyrill of Spartanburg, Austin Oliver of Olive Branch, MS, and Matthew Cyrill of Jasper, IN; a great-grandson and great-granddaughter, Maddux and Alexa Meier, both of Boiling Springs; two brothers, David Cyrill and his wife Brenda of Holt, MI, and Michael Cyrill of Phoenix AZ. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2011 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel on East Main Street. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at The Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, conducted by the Rev. Ted Kalaw, CRM. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg County Library, 151 South Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306; or The Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
