We are so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. It was always fun and enlightening to have political conversations with Gary. He was a good and honest man. He loved Nikiski and represented it well on the assembly. And he was a wonderful carpenter. We appreciated his work. This is a tremendous loss for the family and for the community. Our prayers are with you as God carries you through this very hard time. Love, Karen and Richard

My deepest sympathy to the Superman family. For those of us who knew Gary, our lives are better. For those of you who never had the chance to meet Gary you missed knowing a great man. I came to know Gary through politics. I never met anyone more passionate about their issues than him. He was thought provoking, sincere, and always presented a rational argument for the position he had taken. While we didn't always agree (many times we did), we had great discussions about issues and I always left those discussions a bit wiser because of him. Gary was a great man and did a lot for his community and this borough. He will be missed.
