George A. Skowrenski Sr.

George A. Skowrenski, Sr. died on Wednesday January 25, 2012 at his home in Monroe Twp. He was 87 years old. Mr. Skowrenski was born and raised in Monroe Twp. and lived there his entire life. He was a lifelong farmer and operated his own farm in Monroe Twp. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church, Helmetta. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred (Yellen) Skowrenski in 1986, and three siblings, Bertha Skowrenski, Walter Skowrenski, and Leo Skowrenski. He is survived by two sons, George A. Skowrenski, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Monroe Twp., and Darryl Skowrenski of Long Island City, NY, one brother, Paul Skowrenski, his long time companion Delia Alvarez, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Friday January 27, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00am at Holy Trinity RC Church, Helmetta followed by Interment in the parish cemetery, Monroe Twp. Visitation is Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
