George M. Colomer, age 64, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 in McHenry. He was born in Woodstock on December 24, 1951, the son of George and Frances (Welling) Colomer. He married Kerrie ( Moore) Colomer on May 22, 1973 in Woodstock, Illinois. George was a family man and enjoyed attending his Grandchildren's various sporting events. His love for sports overflew into baseball as he was an avid Cubs fan. George is also known for his time served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. George is survived by his wife, Kerrie, son Shawn(Monica) Colomer of Mesa, Arizona, grandchildren: Kylie Colomer and Tyrus Colomer, sister Linda Platt of Blue Springs, Missouri, brother Patrick Colomer of McHenry, Illinois, Sister in-Law Diane Colomer of Cuba City, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Frances Colomer, brother, William Colomer, Brother In-law, Rick Platt, and nephew, Zachary Colomer. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:0pm at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry IL. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Church 2302 W. Church St. Johnsburg, IL from 9:30 A.M. until the 10:00A.M Funeral Mass.
