Gloria (Baron) Krigest Obituary
DANVERS- Mrs. Gloria (Baron) Krigest 83, entered eternal rest July 24th 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jordan Krigest.
Born in Winthrop, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Eva (Green) Baron. She was raised and educated in Winthrop and was a graduate of Winthrop High School.
Gloria began her professional career with the John Hancock Company and moved on to the Sears Company working in Sales and Accounts Payable at their Saugus, Peabody and Burlington locations until the time of her retirement in 1995.
Mrs. Krigest had resided for many years in Saugus, when in 1998, she and her beloved husband moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. She was a very active and loving mother, having volunteered much of her time to the many organizations and groups her children were involved with. While residing in Florida, she volunteered at the Kravis Center and was a member of the United Order of TRUE Sisters; she was a life member of Hadassah and enjoyed spending her time playing Mahjong and Canasta with friends. Gloria volunteered for many years at the North Shore Music Theatre as an usher and was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was the President of her condominium association in Florida for many years. Most recently she resided in Danvers with her loving son and grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Ellen Krigest of Haverhill and her son, Steven Krigest and his wife Claudia of Danvers, her grandchildren, Timothy, Kyle & Kaylee Krigest of Danvers, her brothers Herbert Baron & His wife Nessie of Weston and Jacob Baron & his wife Beverly of Brockton, her sister Charlotte Klieman of Miami, Fl, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ina Moses.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Tuesday, July 29th, at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends invited. Interment in Lebanon Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial Observance will be held at the home of Gloria's son & daughter-in-law: Steven and Claudia Krigest, 41 Forest St., Danvers, Tuesday, July 29th from 5 to 9 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Gloria's memory to Kaplan Family Hospice house 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
