WORCESTER-Gloria J. "Glo" Laythe, 65, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after an illness. She was born in Worcester, one of 18 children to William and Jean (Narvie) Worster. Glo was a cook at the Webster Square Day Care for 30 years and a dietary aide at Donna Kay Rest Home and St. Mary's Healthcare for several years. Glo loved to shop, always keeping an eye out for additions to her Indian and cow collections. Her family was her world and she will always be remembered as a loving and caring Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Mimi, Grammy and Aunt. Glo was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Lee R. Laythe on June 15, 2015. She is survived by five children; Jennifer Lopez of Worcester, Lori Laythe of Worcester, Shawn Laythe of Webster, William Laythe of Worcester and Megan Laythe of Worcester, her mother, Jean, 20 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves her 13 siblings and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her father and four brothers. Funeral Services and burial will be private and a Celebration of Glo's Life will be held at a future date.
