Gus will live on in our thoughts as a stalwart and thoughtful class and school leader, talented and dedicated athlete, and kind friend to all who had the privilege of sharing those bright, shining times at St. Augustine. May his family and all who remember him fondly be consoled by a wealth of happy memories and the example of his indomitable spirit.

Dear family and cousins,

My deepest sympathy. I didn't know Gus well but my mother (Aunt Lucy) has very fond memories of him. She has often talked about him these last few years especially when she was very sick. She would tell me that he had come to visit her. Sending you all my love and heart felt thoughts.
