Harold Adalian Obituary

Published by Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills on May 4, 2018.
Harold Sarkis Adalian, 85, born on December 7, 1932, in Los Angeles, California, passed away May 4, 2018. A man who never met a stranger in his life. He loved people, talking to people, and sharing the world with others. As a landscape contractor, he transformed many homes and business into beautiful horticultral designs in Long Beach, California. He had a unique ability to know each plant, tree, bush, and flower by its scientific name and house name. Harold's drive travelled him through the world of entrepreneurship. This natural skill to sell and share continued to provide that desire and motivation to meet others. In addition to nature, he had a love for cats. He adopted many cats over the years and gave each of them a home. He is survived by many people who love him dearly. He is survived by his wife Carol Adalian and her beautiful Nebraska family. He has three amazing daughters from Claire Adalian; Anne Adalian (deceased), Ellen Adalian, and Michelle (Adalian) Ponce. He had a deep and authentic relationship with his Son-in-law, Memo Ponce and adored his grandchildren, Raelyn and Logan. Harold will be unconditionally missed. He was such a special man, father, and friend to this world. Our hearts will always have a special place for him and our lives will certainly never be the same. He resided in Santa Paula, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.

Harold will be missed by all who knew him. I met Harold at a monthly poker game and enjoyed playing with him for many years.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

May the Holy Spirit comfort and guide Harolds family during this time.

What I enjoyed mostly about Harold was whenever I spent time with him, he was always truly excited over a new adventure he saw in his future. He would have a sparkle in his eyes as he explained his latest adventure. At the same time he was also encouraging others to never give up on their dreams. "You have an idea - go for it"!!!!!! So Harold I will miss those talks, but I know that you and Anne will enjoy peace and many wonderful memories. Hugs & Love, Chickie
