I was deeply saddened to learn of my dear Aunt Helen's passing. She is named after my mother, Sarah Helen, my dad's wife. I visited Helen, Chuck. and Carrie one evening in the fall of 1985 for dinner, on the evening she received a call notifying her that another brother, Wallace, my uncle, had passed away. I last saw Helen at her younger sister, Nobia Hill's funeral, in the early '90s, and she rode to the grave site with me. Helen was instrumental in my youth and my life and I loved her very much! May God rest her soul!

Dear Carri and family, I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Helen and Chuck were wonderful friends to my mother, Peg Foster, when they lived on Woodcreek. Helen would cook a great dinner and share food and her wonderful stories from growing up on the farm in Alabama. After Helen was widowed, she and her sister and my mother spent summer evenings sitting out in Helen's beautiful yard. Helen always made you feel at ease and made all the beautiful things she did look effortless. She left a gentle and compassionate impression in this world that won't be forgotten.
