She was always an inspiration to us all -- probably the first one of the Conchas clan to attend and complete college. I have fond memories during my childhood of seeing her in her nicely starched white uniform... this of course many years ago. Throughout her life she was always the soft spoken of the bunch, but certainly very caring and kind. I will chersih good memories of her always. May she rest in peace.

Lupe, I was so sad to learn about the passing of Ms Concha. My condolences to you and the rest of the family. She leaves such a wonderful legacy for her family and extended family, all the patients she cared for and many coworkers. She was a teacher, a mentor, and friend to the many young nurses she guided as we were starting our careers. Rest in peace Ms Conchas, until we meet again. - Carlos Castañeda

May she rest in peace. My first experience living outside my parents' home in Laredo was a summer long visit to Santiago and Polita's home in San Antonio. I was 13 years old and scared. I was provided family love and care at great sacrifice to both of them while I learned about my first job and dealing with homesickness. Thank you cousins . Our prayers are with you.
