I was so surprised to read that Jim had passed away. I knew him when he and Tom Burkhart worked together on State Street. Though he wasn't my attorney he would joke around with everyone in the office. May he Rest In Peace.

Jim was a great "character" that I knew from both high school when we played varsity basketball together for DMHS in 1965-66 (Too bad he couldn't jump) and during his law practice when he hired me for appraisal assignments. RIP my friend.

Jim was a sophomore member of the DMHS X-Country team that I coached in my first year of teaching at DMHS. He competed for me for 3 years and was a great guy and outstanding runner. Condolences to the family.

Jim ran track for me at MacArthur High School. He was a great guy, coming from a special family.

God bless,

Jim never met a stranger, he made everybody an instant friend. Jim had a photographic memory and could sing verses verbatim of obscure rock songs on the golf course at will! Jim will be remembered fondly as a kind hearted free spirit who truly marched to a different drummer!

Jim and I went to MacArthur and Albion together. Our dorm rooms were opposite each other. Wry and upbeat at the same time, Jim was a pleasure to be around. What a guy.
