James Aleardi Obituary

Published by D'Anjolell Stigale Memorial Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of Aston on Feb. 29, 2020.
ALEARDI James A. Aleardi, Sr. "Jim", age 92, of Aston, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 29, 2020. Loving husband of the late Josephine Helen Aleardi. Devoted father of Bernadette (Tom) Nolan, Maria Brunetto, Jimmy, Jr. (Marie) Aleardi, Michael (Cindi) Aleardi. Adoring Grandfather of Paula (Robert) Julg, Kristin (Matt) Greim, Gina Brunetto, Joseph (Bridget) Brunetto, Kimberly (Michael) Tursi, Danielle (Ryan) Hack, Nicole (Matt) McFadden, and Michael (Jessica) Aleardi, Jr. Proud great-grandfather of Annabelle and Carolyn Julg, Matthew and Sara Greim, Natalie and Nicholas Tursi, Brayden, Dillon and Elliana Hack, and Jackson McFadden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Ralph & Maria Aleardi. Also predeceased by his four brothers, Frank Aleardi, Carmen Aleardi, Vincent Aleardi, and Dominic Aleardi as well as his six sisters, Millie Adamucci, Mary Baglivo, Annie Cippollone, Rita Tocci, Claire Crescenzo and Elizabeth Belfiglio. Jim lived by example and was the epitome of "God first, others second, I'm third". He lived his life for others. As a young man, he went to school and worked a part time job to help his family survive during a difficult time in history. As a teenager, he entered the Navy and served our country during World War II. He was a true patriot willing to make the necessary sacrifices so that we can all enjoy our freedom. As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he would have literally given the shirt off of his own back if it meant that he could make his family more comfortable. As his wife, Josephine (Jo), grew ill with Alzheimer's, he vowed to take care of her at home until the end of her days. He made the ultimate sacrifice for his wife, the matriarch of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, March 6 from 8:30-10:00 AM at Danjolell-Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Road, Aston, PA. The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM at Saint Joseph Church 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014. The interment will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Saint Joseph Building Fund @ 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014.

Hello Bernadette, Mike, Jimmy and Maria.

All of us are so very sorry for your loss. Both your Dad and Mom were truly exceptional parents and role models. I fondly remember your Mom's never ending hospitality, and your father's work ethic, parenting skills and wonderful sense of humor as exemplified in our trips to 'Crab Island', that magical 4th of July (fireworks), and all those times in your pool. We're sorry that we didn't have the opportunity to thank him in person just one more time before he passed on.

Camilla, Joe and all the assorted Burches.

Dear Jimmy, Marie and family, Milt and I send our heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this sad time of loss. The stories of your father caring for your mother through her difficult illness was always an inspiration and reflection of how special Mr. Aleardi was and how much he will be missed. We're sure your parents' reunion was a very happy one! God Bless you all.
Love and prayers, Rose and Milt
