George and I owe so much to this man. In September of 1977 Mr. Sumas gave George his job with Village Supermarkets. Over the years our family has had a wonderful relationshop with the entire Sumas family. Mr. Sumas always made sure that the company provided all of what a family needed in George's working life and now in our retirement. When I had cancer we don't know what we would have done without the Sumas family. We had wonderful insurance, and George was allowed to take all the time he needed at home to be caregiver. George said that Mr. Sumas always instilled in him a good work ethic and the importance of doing a job right, and most of all to the customers we served. Mr. Sumas valued all his employees, and provided lovely perks like game tickets, golf outings and dinners. George said that Mr. Sumas was one of the most important people in his life, we will always treasure his memory. Signed George and Iva Cadmus, Laurens South Carolina
