Janet Rehmel, 79, passed to the other side on November 26, 2016, at her Anderson residence. She was born April 19, 1937, the only daughter of the late, Richard & Cynthia (Dickerson) Bright. Janet lived most of her life in Madison County. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1955. After graduation, Janet went to work at Indiana Bell as an operator. When the Anderson office closed, she had twenty years of service. She went to Muncie as an operator where she worked for ten more years. When that office closed, she moved to Greenwood, where she worked six more years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and growing plants. Janet leaves behind two daughters, Cynthia Sheedy and Tracy Rehmel; two grandchildren, Jason (Ann Robison) Rodgers and Jennifer (Jeremy) Rodgers-Pierce; and two great grandsons, Caleb Rodgers & Jacob Pierce. She was preceded in passing by her parents; former husbands, E.C. Phillips in 1993 and Jerry Rehmel in 2005; and granddaughter, Kristin Rodgers in 1982. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Visitation will be two hours prior to the services.
