Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every member of this family. We will always have good memories. My favorite story telling was the one of where grandma would send him to store to get something and he forgot what she wanted by time he got to store. So he would call grandma and pretend to be Aunt flavia (he had grandma fooled everytime) but he would ask all about great grandpa larpenter. She would tell him how he was doing then uncle Jerry would ask well what is Jerry doing she would say well I sent him to store. Uncle jerry would ask what did you send him to store for she would tell him he would hang up and get what she needed and home he went. I loved to hear him tell it. He was such a good kind soft spoken christian man . He will be missed dearly.

My husband and I both grew up Nazarene and inter acted with the Larpenter family all our lives. We always knew we would see Bro and Sis Larpenter every year at camp meeting. Our love and prayers to all the family members and my prayer is that as days turn into months and months into years your tears will turn into smiles and then into laughter as you remember Bro Larpenter and the life he lived.

I met Mr. Larpenter and his family when they traded with my dad at McFarland's Service Station on Texas Street. He and Mrs. Larpenter were dedicated to their faith in God. The Larpenter family is in my prayers.

Uncle Jerry has been an inspiration to me all my life. What a great example of a Christian man. When mom learned of her sickness uncle Jerry led her to the lord over the phone. I know he and mom are walking the streets of Gold!

I first met Jerry when I went to work at the Natchitoches Post Office in 1974. He always referred to himself as Larpenter the Carpenter. I used to pick on him but I always respected him greatly. He left no doubt to his coworkers that he was a man of great faith....and he showed that daily in his life. I am glad I met him and will miss him. He is now with his Lord whom he loved so much. Prayers and love to his family.
