John H. C. Lassahn

John was born on June 24, 1944 and passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018. John was a resident of Minnesota at the time of passing. He graduated from Sykesville High School and went to Western Maryland College, where he received a BA Degree in 1966. Having completed 4 years of ROTC, John entered the Army and served in the 714th Railway Battalion in Ft. Eustis, VA for a year, and then in the 125th Transportation Command in Saigon, Vietnam from 1967-1968. John had a lifelong interest in railroads and had a thirty-one year career with Penn Central as an Operations Control analyst, and with Conrail as a Service Design analyst and manager. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 14 at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennans Church Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
