John R. Foldie

John Robert Foldie, age 87 years, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Bay Shores Nursing Center. He was born on May 1, 1925 in Bay City, the son of the late Joseph and Sophie Foldie. On September 22, 1951 he married Elizabeth Helen Christie, and she preceded him in death on August 28, 2004. Surviving family includes his children, Jill M. Foldie, John J. Foldie, Michael J. Foldie, Patrick J. Foldie and Jeffrey M. (Steffeny) Foldie; his grandchildren, Ryan M. Foldie, Bethany A. and Tricia L. Foldie as well as their mother, Carol Smith and Jonathon D. and Jade N. Foldie as well as their mother Kim Rokosz; and his great-grand daughter, Hannah E. Valley. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 in the chapel at St. Patrick Cemetery. The Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik presiding. Inurnment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
