I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I am an old Friend and went to school with John. And was a friend when Derek was just a baby. He was a proud dad. And seen him a few times when he still played baseball. May God Bless the Sodre Family in this difficult time.

Derek...your dad was great! He always had me laughing, especially when he gave me that wide eyed get a load of this one look whenever he knew someone was acting off the beam!
Don't know if he ever told you but he guaranteed me that you would strike out the side in that championship game against the Hawks if I called you Gerka when I sent you in...it worked...you're both "CHAMPS"!!!

I'm heartbroken with John's passing. I worked with John and his dad for many years at Adden Furniture and again for the past five years at Lowell Community Health Center. He will be missed by many.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I played Babe Ruth with John and met up with him again when I was coaching against Derek in Little League. John was very proud of him and I always found John to be a quiet and very nice person. May God Bless you in this difficult time.
