Mrs. Joretta Holder Sordelett

Joretta Holder Sordelett, 82, of Hopewell passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Brighter Living Assisted Living. Mrs. Sordelett was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sordelett, was a child care provider and a member of the First Baptist Church for sixty years. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Kaufman (Brad), Denise Bradshaw (Bobby) and Elena Pittman (Greg), a son, Edwin Sordelett (Pam), sister, Wilma Ledford, eight grandchildren, Christopher Kaufman (Nickole), Amanda Nies-Berger (David), Matthew Bradshaw (Kristine), Ryan Bradshaw (Laura), Daniel and Timothy Pittman, Gabrielle and Ethan Sordelett, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, January 31, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Angie Hoff and Rev. Darrell Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
