Joyce Capet Loretta Joyce Capet, 78, born February 26, 1935 in Bartley, WV peacefully passed from this life surrounded by her loving family to her reward in her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Iva (Wallace) Greathouse. Joyce was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her earlier years, she had worked at the Westinghouse Lamp Plant. She was a graduate of Barrackville High School and a member of Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her community Black Friday Christmas toy drive, bingo, going to church, crocheting, knitting, quilting, needlepoint, fishing, playing cards with her family and camping. Her biggest love of her life was her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Robert Lynn Capet of Fairmont, two sons, Frank D. Symenski and his wife Deborah Jean of South Carolina and John M. Symenski and his wife Sharon of Fairmont, three daughters, Marsha D. Fluharty and her husband Mac of Mannington, Joyce Ann Locke of Fairmont and Patricia Jean Parsley of Fairmont, 13 grandchildren, Brandy Fluharty, Fred Fluharty, Jesalyn Fluharty, Linda McCullough, Christy Hamilton, Lori Morris, Lisa Hayes, Tammy Blair, James Swearingen, Brandon Greynolds, Staci Symenski, Ashley Villers and Jimmy Symenski and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Donna Symenski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James A. Symenski, one brother, William Greathouse and two sisters, Gloria Ralphsnyder and Betty Hartzell. Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont on Friday from 1-8 pm and Saturday from 10-11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 am with Pastor Ruth Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Monumental Cemetery in Marion County.
