Joyce M. Hollendoner

A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 4 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Joyce Hollendoner, 66, of Canfield who passed away Wednesday evening at Hospice House in Poland. Joyce was born January 19, 1945 in Akron the daughter of James and Jerry (Peterisk) Truxell. She was a graduate of Garfield High School class of 1963 and worked as a Realtor with Century 21 until her retirement in October 2005. Joyce was also known as a local artist and Interior Designer. She was a member of the HBA and donated her hand painted Christmas bulbs to Silver Lining for auction at their fundraisers. Joyce leaves two sons, Spencer (Denise) Hollendoner of Canfield, and Dru Hollendoner of Panama City, FL., five grandchildren, Camryn, Reese, Seth, Nicholas, and Thomas, as well as one sister, Margie Koegel of Akron. Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, Fred Hollendoner, whom she married August 28, 1965; he passed away September 17, 1985. Friends may call from 1 PM to 4 PM Saturday at the funeral home with services to follow at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice House in Joyce's name.
