Julie P. (Moore) Riddlesworth, 77, of Ellington, beloved wife of the late William A. Riddlesworth, died Thursday (July 18, 2013) in Windsor, CT. Born in Cortland, NY on September 12, 1935 daughter of the late James P. and Naomi E. (Chamberlain) Moore she had lived in South Windsor before moving to Ellington. She was a registered nurse before retiring. Julie was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, South Windsor where she was a former Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Episcopal Church Women and the Heavenly Hugs group. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to Rockville General Hospital, Rockville, CT and The Village at Buckland Court, South Windsor, CT. She leaves her four children, William A. Riddlesworth and his wife Robin of Vernon, CT, Susan Lovejoy of Ellington, CT, Thomas J. Riddlesworth and his wife Linda of Bolton, CT, Robert J. Riddlesworth and his wife Pamela of Alliance, OH; two brothers, Richard Bean of Churchville, NY and James Moore of Auburn, NY; four sisters, Lynn Dejaiffe of Horseheads, NY, Darlene McKeen of Seviereville, TN, Rosemary DeChick of Auburn, NY and Catherine Bollin of Grahamsville, NY; five grandchildren, William C. Lovejoy, Kimberly J. Riddlesworth, W. Alan Riddlesworth, Jr., Emily R. Riddlesworth and Bobbie J. Lyon; a great grandson William C. Lovejoy, Jr., and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lou Coffin. A memorial service will be held, Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 109 Sand Hill Road, South Windsor, followed by burial at St. Peter's Memorial Garden. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor.
