Kimberly A. Lody

Cortland- Kimberly Ann Lody, 50, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 8, 1965 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Robert M. Lody and Linda S. Carder. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and attended Joint Vocational School for animal care, she was also President of the FFA. For many years she was a housewife and forever a devoted mother. Kim loved music and was always up for a game of "name that song". She loved going to concerts, and cheering her sons on as the played football. She had a memory like no other that always impressed her friends and family. Kim had a strong love for all animals and held a special place in her heart for her two grand pups. She was always willing to be a second mother for her kids friends. Nothing meant more to her than her four children, they were her entire world. She is survived by her children, Sara (Joshua) Hines, Katie (Brandon) Luoma, Matthew Kohuth II, and Nicholas Kohuth all of Cortland; her mother Linda S. Carder, and her sister Karen Lutz of Cortland, niece Jessica Dershaw, nephews Tyler Martini, and Jackson Lutz, she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and an uncountable amount of amazing cousins whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her father Robert M. Lody, stepfather David Carder, maternal grandparents Jack and Anna Evans, paternal grandparents Joe and Mary Lody. Friends may call 2-3 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel 164 N. High St. in Cortland. a memorial service will begin at 3 P.M. Kimberly's kids would like to send a special thank you to St. Joseph's Cancer Center, Dr. Francis and Dr. Mashburn, and their staffs, for taking excellent care of Kimberly to the end.
