Mrs. Laura Leona Hensley Moore

Laura Leona (Hensley) Moore, age 85, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2008 at Baysmont. She was born in Hawkins County on November, 27, 1922. She was a Baptist and loved to attend different churches. She was a member of Calvary Lighthouse Baptist Church. She volunteered at several different nursing homes. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther E. Hensley and two sons, Lowell Hensley and Leo Hensley; her second husband, Omar Moore; a sister, Rosa Winegar. She is survived by one son, Donnie Ray Hensley and wife Linda of Church Hill; one granddaughter, Jeannie Pendleton and husband Chris of Erwin; one great-granddaughter, Mary Pendleton of Erwin; two step-daughters, Mrs. Phyllis McPherson and husband Albert of Blackwater, VA, Mrs. Jewell Ramey and husband Kenneth of Mount Carmel; five step-grandchildren, Mrs. Crystal Stewart, Kevin McPherson, Coy McPherson, Kerry McPherson and Kelly McPherson; 15 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Casteel of Surgoinsville and Lula Larkins of Mount Carmel, TN; several nieces and nephews.
