Louise M. Shassere

Louise M. Shassere, 95, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at New Haven Care & Rehabilitation. Born in Terre Haute, she was a homemaker . She was a devoted wife, mother, and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was an avid doll collector, reader, and enjoys spending time with family. She is survived by her son, William (June) Shassere of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Marilyn (William) Lawson of New Haven; grandsons, Alan (Janet) Lawson, Ken Lawson both of Fort Wayne, Bradley Lawson of New Haven, and Doug (Alice) Lawson of Fort Wayne; and great-granddaughter, Katie Lawson. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Shassere; parents, Walter and May Scott; brother, Johnny Scott; sisters, Betty Cox, Pauline Dailey, and Mary Barton. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of Memories Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute, IN. Calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd.
