HOLDEN - Lynne S. (Eichholz) Haapakoski, 59, of Holden, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2015 surrounded by family and friends at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a brief illness.
Lynne was born in Worcester on September 18, 1956 the daughter of Gordon W. Eichholz and the late Marilyn A. (Gay) Eichholz. She graduated from West Boylston High School in 1974. Lynne worked for many years at Norton Co. and held many different positions most recently as a secretary in the office of the Patent Attorney's.
Lynne was a devoted daughter and spent most of her time helping her father and helping to raise her niece and nephew, Tara and Karl.
Besides her father, Gordon W. Eichholz of West Boylston, Lynne leaves behind her loving husband of 26 years, Paul Haapakoski; two brothers, Craig W. Eichholz and his wife Mary of Leicester, and Steven G. Eichholz and his significant other, Diane Smollin of Princeton; her nieces and nephews, Tara, Karl, Peter and Catherine.
She was predeceased by her mother, Marilyn A. (Gay) Eichholz in 2004 and her brother, Mark Eichholz in 2000.
Funeral services and burial were held privately on Tuesday. Arrangements under the direction of FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W.BOYLSTON ST., WEST BOYLSTON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
