Mr. Manuel Rosete Emperador

Manuel (Mike) Rosete Emperador, age 85, of Manila, Philippines passed away on February 29, 2016 at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. Beloved husband of Priscilla (Apostol); Dearest father of Deborah, Manuel Jr., Michele, Suzzette, John, Kimberly, and stepsons Monteo and the late Gregory Myers. Mr. Emperador is survived by his 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He fought valiantly for his country in the Korean War (U.S. Navy), and was known for being exceptionally musically gifted; having an especially deep and passionate love of playing his guitar. He had a contagious personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a highly intelligent and hard working man that loved his family dearly. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at St Barnabas Catholic Church, 6300 Buist Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19142 Immediately followed by Mass at 10:30 am. Interment in Washington Crossing Veterans Cemetery will be private.
