As I visited with Grandma during the past few weeks I started really paying attention to the words that people (family and friends) used to describe her. A person of faith, a believer in the Lord, positive, tough, strong, spunky, independent, popular. A word that came to my mind often was Brave. She loved children and animals. She loved socializing with friends and family and being active in her church. Grandma was always looking forward to the next activity, the next Holiday, the next great grandchild and great-great grandchild. She loved crocheting and making quilts, putting much love, thought and detail into each of her projects. Grandma and Grandpa created amazing memories that we will all cherish. The North St. Paul house, pool parties, Christmas. I am truly blessed to have had such a wonderful relationship with my Grandma. She was an amazing role model to aspire to be like. A strong, independent woman, a loving and devoted wife and a caring mother and grandmother. Grandma has taught us to live life looking forward. To be positive, have forgiveness and not to judge others. In thinking about what she would want us to do as we remember her, I think she would want us to feel joy and look forward, keep moving forward. Today I am grateful that Grandma is with the Lord, finally reunited with Grandpa and her son Gordon. What a glorious day - I would have loved to see her bright smile as she passed through those golden gates. I will love you always and forever -Your Grand Daughter, Dayna
