Marty and I went through PJ training together and grew quite close to one another. After training, however, he went to Da Nang and I to Udorn and to the best of my recollection we never saw each other again.
Marty was a tremendous athlete and an inspiration to me throughout training. I am glad that he had a full rich life and am confident that he is safe and secure in the arms of our blessed savior Jesus Christ. He will continue to live in the memories of all his friends.

Marty, we knew each other in our younger days but lost contact along the way. I knew little of what transpired with you after that. In many ways, I know it seems too late to say thank you. But thank you for serving our country; thank you for the bravery you demonstrated and thank you for the man you grew into as an adult. You were always a great athlete and now I know you carried that throughout your life. God bless.
