Troy M. "Marty" Flummer, 47, of Browning, Missouri, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 south of Milan, Missouri. Marty was born December 11, 1964 in Leon, Iowa. He was the son of Larry and Christine (Lentz) Cordray. He is survived by his parents, his biological father, Ray Flummer, two daughters, Jackie Lynn Flummer and Kylie Flummer of the home, one son, Cole Flummer of the home, his mother and step father, Chris and Larry Cordray of Browning, his maternal grandparents, Carl and Corinne Lentz of Lineville, Iowa; a half brother; Danny Flummer; a half sister, Rayann Chambers; three step-brothers, Tom Cordray and wife Janet, Larry Cordray, Jr., and Chad Cordray; one step-sister, Regina and husband Eddy Smith; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Marty attended Linn County R-1 School and graduated from the Mercer High School. He had lived in Browning the past 35 years. He attended the Assembly of God Church and was re-baptized on June 17, 2012. Marty was a very talented carpenter, mechanic, or could operate heavy equipment. He coached basketball, taught archery in 4-H, loved playing pool, hunting arrowheads, and working on classic cars. Marty never knew a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He most of all loved being with his kids. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Tuesday July 31, 2012 at the Browning United Methodist Church in Browning. Rev. Wilburn Bennett officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were Jack Snyder, Bob King, George Sportsman, and Gary Fullerton. Pallbearers were Kevin Smith, Shane McCabe, Randy Burns, Jeff Fefferson, Kevin Lentz and Jeff Bivins. Burial followed in the North Salem Cemetery at North Salem, Missouri. Contributions are suggested to his children.
