DUPHORNE - Marvin Duphorne, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died on December 6, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Duphorne of Albuquerque; son, Dante Duphorne and Julie Batman of Lake Mary, Florida; father, Robert Duphorne; sister, DuAnn Duphorne; nieces, D'Ann Rasmussen and Bambi and husband, Joe Folk of Albuquerque; grandniece, Penelope Kehrer and; sister-in-law, Pam Nelson of Austin, Texas; aunt and uncle Pat and Bill Walker of Renton, Washington; and devoted companions Thunder and Sassy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Duphorne; grandparents, Agnes and Marvin Walker, Ruth and Marcel Duphorne; aunt and uncle, Ramona and Kenneth Mosher; and cousin, Melvyn Mosher. Marvin was a mechanical engineer who graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1966 and was married to Patsy the day after graduation. His career took them to Seattle where he worked for Boeing, to Amarillo where he worked for Pantex and back to Albuquerque where he worked for Singer, Ampex Corp., Intel Corp., EG&G, and Allied Signal, having recently retired from Honeywell at Kirtland Air Force Base. He was a member of the Enchantment Great Pyrenees Club in Albuquerque. Plans for a memorial service at French - University are pending. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Enchantment Great Pyrenees Club, P.O. Box 1146, Cedar Crest, NM 87008, the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111 or a charity of your choice.
