Michael Argonish

Michael Argonish, 61, of Old Forge, died Friday afternoon at Commonwealth Hospice at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His beloved wife of 20 years, the former Christine M. Tutino, died June 1, 2000. Born in Old Forge, son of the late George and Anna Hrobuchak Argonish, he was a graduate of Old Forge High School, Class of 1968 and he received his associate degree from Lackawanna College. Mike was a lifelong parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge and was a self-employed truck driver. Surviving are two sisters, Marlene Yuschak and husband, Michael, Vestal, NY and Audrey Rushefski and husband, Charles, The Villages, Fl; a brother George Argonish and companion, Debbie Cariati, Old Forge; two nieces, two great nieces and two great nephews. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 am from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor followed by the Office of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, 140 Church St., Old Forge by the Rev. Gary Mensinger. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Monday 5-8 p.m. Parastas services will be at 7pm.
