I met Nancy in the 90's when I went to volunteer for her at Abner Gibbs Elementary Library. All I knew how to do was put books away. I was eager to learn more about the running of a library, so this wonderful, caring and friendly lady taught me almost all she knew. Because of her I got a part-time job at Southwick Library. She made it fun to volunteer for her. I did it for 10 years until I had an accident. She got me interested in the "Harry Potter" series. She was such a great lady. I will miss her dearly.

Many of us will forever cherish warm and fun-filled memories of Nancy as a colleague -- especially of those days at Westfield High when Nancy and her beloved friend and "partner in crime" Glenda Laubach (with Madeline Warner's oversight) worked so diligently on behalf of students and needy faculty . As one who later came to know Nancy and Rudy as friends, my sense of loss is staggering. I sincerely hope after-life reunions are possible. Nancy and Rudy ... together forever! Pete Flynn

Nancy was one of the most caring and interesting persons I worked with starting at the WHS library in the 80s. She introduced me to Beanie Babies & Yankee candles before they were the in thing. Hwer love of people, especially the students, was visible in the way she was always ready to help them. Even visits at Broad St. were happy times.
Will miss her incredible mind. Kathy Armstrong
