Patricia Ann Cebe, age 77, of Sun Prairie, died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 2, 2018, ending a 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. Pat was born on January 28, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to the late Leo and Anna (nee Kuhlmeyer) Satke. She married her best friend, Jerry, on November 23, 1961. While raising her 3 children, Pat's nursing career spanned four states (MO, MI, WI, GA) and many disciplines as she worked in ER, hospitals, cardiac care, surgery, Visiting Nurses, and Hospice. After her retirement she spent her time spoiling her grandchildren, quilting, and continuing to be a force of nature for family and friends. Pat is mourned and celebrated by her beloved husband, Jerry; her son Jerry Jr (Pat) Cebe; daughters Terie and Michelle Cebe; grandchildren James (Melissa) Ondishko, Kathy (Jon) Wills, Jeff Cebe, Ksenia Shilina-Cebe; great grandchildren Connor, Riley, and Emma Ondishko, Isabelle and Henry Wills; brothers Tom (Carol) Satke and Mike (Mary) Satke, numerous nieces and nephews, and her giant fuzzy dog, Jake. My sympathy to Jerry and all the family!
I was drawn to Pat the very first time I met her in the hospital, and she shared that she was a retired nurse. As a parish nurse we were in the same sisterhood.
I will remember her strength, her persistence to live and especially to finish her quilts for her family! Her quilts were amazing as well as beautiful, just as she was.
Thank you for sharing your lives and your journey at the end with me and Jesus. God Bless you all as you move thru these weeks ahead and remember and honor Pat. I will continue to hold you up in prayer.

Every now and then God sends someone very special into our lives. Pat was that person. We met Pat when she & Jerry lived in Crossville, TN., attending the same church, St. Alphonsus. While Pat was director of SACS we worked under her direction helping the needy of Cumberland County. Pat was sincere, direct and always had a willing hand for whatever needed to be done. She saw to it that things were done in a timely manner and done correctly. When our son died Pat showed us such compassion without saying a word.
We will miss her tremendously.
To Jerry, Michele, Terie, and Jerry Jr. : we share in your grief. Know that in the tears of others God weeps with you, and in the prayers of others, know that God hears you.
Peace & Love,
Maralynn & Jerry

Mr. Jerry Cebe,

I want to convey my most sincere condolences with the passing of your beloved wife Pat. It has been many years since our days together in both Albany and Milwaukee. I remember Pat as a kind person who cared very much about the well being of her friends and family.I particularly recall how both you and Pat helped me turn the corner on some very destructive personal behaviors. I remain eternally grateful to you and Pat for your candid and caring guidance during a period of turmoil in my life. I have successfully turned the corner in that aspect of my life. To a large degree, I credit both you and your wonderfully caring wife for reaching out to help me when I most urgently needed assistance. I am extremely saddened in hearing of Pat's passing as it was obvious to me the great love you two shared for one another. Once again, I offer you my most profound sympathy for the loss of your wife and best friend Pat.

Sincerely,
Bob Lawton
