Paul Allen Babarcik

Paul A. Babarcik, age 56, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Union Hospital at Dover, following a brief illness.A son of the late Lawrence and Alverda (Mutti) Babarcik, Paul was born on November 11, 1952, at Dover. Paul was a 1971 graduate of Tusky Valley High School and a veteran of the United States Navy.For a number of years, Paul worked for the KR Sulzener Construction Company at Uhrichsville and enjoyed spending time with his children. In addition to being a loving and caring father, Paul also enjoyed fellowship with his friends.He is survived by his two children, a daughter, Frances Catherine Babarcik; and a son, Lawrence Babarcik, II both of New Philadelphia; his former wife, and mother to his children, Theresa Babarcik also of New Philadelphia; a brother, Jerry (Pat) Babarcik of New Cumberland; a sister, Linda (James) Nalley of Bolivar; and three aunts, Betsy Arnold of Pennsylvania, Bernice Yakley of Sugarcreek, and Edith Lahm of Dover.Two nephews, one niece and numerous cousins complete the family.The family will receive guests one hour prior to services on Monday, June 22, 2009, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Paul's life will be led by Reverend Ted Knapp on Monday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home's chapel. Burial will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery where the Carl C. Stoller Post 1445 of the New Philadelphia VFW will perform military graveside honors.The family requests that memorial contributions in Paul's name be sent to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
